In Games this Week: 4 Persona Games Announced, Gran Turismo 7 for the PS4; News and Rumours for PS4’s Uncharted
Persona games fans should get ready for a barrage of games coming your way as confirmations and details have been announced for four of these games.
Kicking it off with the latest installment is a Persona 5 game, which has been announced by Atlus. As the fifth installment of the Shin Megami Tensei, IGN reports that it will only be available for the PS3.
The game has only been dated for a late 2014 release date in Japan, but already, there's a teaser released, which you can check out in the game. The trailer shows off a crimson image, with five chairs appearing one at a time and side-by-side and with shackles. The end tag is "You are slave. Want emancipation?" in what appears to be a very suspenseful teaser.

At the same time, two Persona 4 games, Persona 4: Dancing All Night and Persona 4 The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold has also been announced for the PS Vita and PS3 respectively.

In a report by Joystiq, Persona 4: Dancing in the night is a collaboration between Atlus and Dingo, and will debut in the fall of 2014. On the other hand, Persona 4 The Ultimax Ultimate Suplex will be a follow-up for the fighting game Persona 4 Arena, and will be available in 2014 on the PS3, also in Japan.
Atlus has also released trailers for the two games. Check out the Persona 4: Dancing All Night trailer here and the Persona 4 The Ultimax Ultimate Suplex trailer here.
Gran Turismo 7 announced for next-gen
Talk about being excited for an upcoming franchise--even before Gran Turismo has made its way to PS3 consoles, the next installment of the game has already been announced.
But this is a bit of news that will delight PS4 players, as the Gran Turismo 7, slated to for release in 2014, will hit the PS4 consoles.
Mirror reports that the Gran Turismo 7 has been announced and confirmed by creator Polyphony Digital's CEO Kazunori Yamaguchi, as he puts 2014 as the best-case scenario for releasing the PS4 game.
Is a Fallout 4 release almost here? Rumours and speculations lead to a release date for the game.
"In GT6, we really had to tune the software 100 percent to maximise the PS3's architecture, but of course, the PS4's hardware is much better, so I think the overall quality of the game across the board will be boosted when you come to play it," said Yamauchi in an interview quoted by Mirror.
However, this also pretty much affirms suspicions that Gran Turismo 6 will really not make it to the PS4 platform, considering what appears to be a close release date for Gran Turismo 6 and Gran Turismo 7.
The PS3 game will be released on December 6, while Gran Turismo 7 on the PS4 has no specific release date yet in 2014.
Beyond console gaming: The iOS 7 is making headway into mobile gaming. Three more games land on iTunes and now, you can choose between two available controllers for your iPhone 5 or iPod Touch 5.
Uncharted: The much-awaited surprise PS4 game
Before the PS4 had launched, Sony had teased that a new game will be announced on the eve that it will release its next-gen console. And on that night, fans were treated to a favorite franchise that makes its comeback on the PS4.
Though the announcement was more a teaser than a detailed stating of what fans can expect once the game releases, there have been a couple of clues and speculations from fans on what can possibly come with the game.
Gamezone has found a NeoGAF user who had translated a post from PlayStation Russia on the Uncharted game. The post had said, "We would like to share some important news with you, first trailer of Uncharted on PS4 has been released! Where do you think Nathan Drake's fate will take him this time?"
From Xbox 360 to Xbox One: Minecraft Xbox 360 developer hints at possible transfer saves to next-gen.
So at least for this installment, PS4 gamers can be assured that the next Uncharted game will still feature Nathan Drake as the protagonist. This was in response to the released Uncharted teaser, where according to the report, Drake's voice was nowhere to be heard.
In addition, GameRant reports that PS4's Uncharted game may feature a pirate theme, not only because of the teasers of treasure maps, but also taking into account the previous sneak peeks given for the art by developer Naughty Dog.
