Gaming News: Batman Arkham: Origins Teases Sequel; Call of Duty: Ghosts Gets New Mode; Minecraft Coming to Wii U?
There has been a previous rumour that places Rocksteady back at the helm of a sequel for "Batman: Arkham Origins", and now fans may be excited for an official announcement for the game.
All Games Beta has posted the Save the Date card from Batman Arkham's official Facebook page.
"Visit this page on December 31st for a special announcement... more details to come next week!"
Fans are already speculating on what they can expect on New Year's Eve. Some are hoping for the promised Rocksteady sequel game, while others are seeing this as the announcement for the Story DLC.
"I'm telling you guys now. 12/31/2013 is the announcement date and possible preview for the Story DLC. Sometime soon after. Rocksteady's announcement for next Batman title. Which will release next year in tandem with Batman's 75th Anniversary," said one fan, Marcello Mancini.
It is still way too early in the game for announcements for the next one which could validate this speculation. Besides, there are already enough rumours regarding the next Batman Arkham game, which includes the Suicide Squad.

Kotaku has found a number of instances where references to the Suicide Squad have been mentioned, such as in the console and PC versions of the game wherein Amanda Waller talks to Deathstroke about a new job. A lot of the other clues are hidden in "Blackgate," but perhaps the most telling and most definitive hint at a Suicide Squad game comes from an interview with DC.
In a previous interview, it was reported that a team is already working on Suicide Squad and is already in development as early as 2012. The only clue about the game is that it is conceptualised in such a way that any of the lead characters can easily die.

Wii U May Join Minecraft Platforms
"Minecraft" saw more than just the Xbox 360 and PC platforms for 2013, as it finally debuted on the PS3 and had plans for the PS4 and Xbox One. Now, it seems like "Minecraft" will be landing on another platform.
A rumour from a source quoted by VG 24/7 suggests that the game's development for the Wii U has already been confirmed and that the developer, touted to be Dundee Studios, is said to already have Wii U dev kits as proof of the development of the game.
What's even more surprising is that the Wii U version may also launch alongside the other two platforms come summer of 2014. But given that neither Mojang nor Nintendo has given any official announcements about "Minecraft's" appearance on the platform, this is best seen as a rumour for now.

Call of Duty: Ghosts' New Heavy Duty Mode
Perhaps this may be another reason for players to go back and play "Call of Duty: Ghosts". A new update, which encompasses all platforms, will now add the Heavy Duty mode multiplayer playlist.
According to Joystiq, this new mode now allows soldiers to spawn additional health, bring in additional options for weapon loadout during Infected mode and allow a player's squad to earn extra squad points for the first five levels.
However, the update will remove the invisibility exploit for online players. It also takes away unlimited perks for some players in the game.
