German Biohacker Implants Large Open Source Computer Chip on Forearm Without Anaesthesia (VIDEOS)
In a bizarre twist to electronic tattoos that some technology firms are experimenting with to do away with passwords, Tim Cannon, a German biohacker went ahead and implanted a chip on his forearm, making him a DIY cyborg.
However, what makes Mr Cannon's case weird was the large size of the chip he implanted and the procedure was done without anaesthesia to dull the pain.
Here is the video, which has become viral with almost 170,000 hits since it was posted on Oct 31, 2013. It is in German language but has English subtitles.
The video is quite graphic and will show the procedure which begins with cutting the skin above a tattoo on his forearm, inserting the large chip and suturing the cut.

Mr Cannon explained that he works for a company that focuses on biohacking which manufactures devices that are meant to integrate with the human body. It is also known as DIY cyborg or the merging of man and machine.
The open source chip allows Mr Cannon full control over the biometric data it collects, such as his body temperature. The chip includes a battery pack that charges wirelessly.
Among the companies experimenting on electronic tattoos is Google's Motorola. The electronic tattoo and the new fingerprint scanner of Apple's iPhone 5S, however, are seen by some groups as precursor to the the Mark of the Beast Scenario.
