The final and official iOS 7 build will not be out until Sept 18 or two days prior to the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C release date, but current iPhone and iPad owners can avail of this radical iOS device makeover now.

The trick, according to Gotta Be Mobile, is finding the right iOS 7 Gold Master download link and this should not come from Apple. The GM, at the moment, remains a developer-only access, so know first that this process is not for the faint of heart.

Another reminder - getting the new Apple mobile platform before Sept 18 entails ditching your device warranty, which means if something goes funky along the way, you cannot to Apple for fixing.

It should be clear too to early adopters that the safest route to experience the simplified and more straightforward rendition of the iOS version is waiting for Apple to dispatch the file, a few days away from now.

Yet for the more adventurous type, in which waiting is pain in the neck, they can take action right now and all they need is the device to be upgraded, a PC or Mac and stable and fast access to the web.

Having all these requirements, follow the easy steps below:

1. Get your iOS 7 GM file

As mentioned in the GBM report, you will need to obtain this software outside of the Apple sphere and recommended sources would be the vast social media universe. You should be in luck if you personally know an app developer with access to the iOS Dev Centre.

2. Download the right file for your iPhone, iPad or iPod

Using iPhones or iPads, head out to the site of your choice generously offering the iOS 7 GM and copy the file, taking note that you will download the right file for your unit - be it a smartphone, tablet or music player.

3. Back up your device

Connect to a Mac or PC and back up your file and settings, if you plan to restore your iPhone or iPad to the way that it was before chewing the new iOS 7.

4. Pull up iTunes

Click the iTunes application and once the whole set up is ready, press the Restore button making sure that you are holding down the SHIFT key (in PC) or ALT/OPTION (in Mac) while doing so.

5. Start the whole procedure

Trigger the iOS 7 GM upgrade by browsing through your device files and clicking on the package you have downloaded, which should bear this indicator - .ipsw.

7. Wrap up

Upon completion of the process, which hopefully is without glitch, restore your files and previous settings using the backup file you earlier created.

You should start enjoying what would prove as roughly the iOS 7 in its final form and ahead of the pack before its Sept 18 release date.
