'Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life' star Scott Patterson discusses his most memorable on-screen moments
It takes a real man to put up with both Rory and Lorelai Gilmore, but Luke Danes has always been able to handle them in stride and with grace. Scott Patterson, who portrays the beloved diner owner, recently sat down and shared his favourite scenes from “Gilmore Girls.”

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Patterson revealed three of his most memorable moments, the first of which was a scene with Lauren Graham, who plays Lorelai in the series. “One of the top moments is the first kiss with Lorelai,” he said. “And then Kirk interrupts by running naked through us.”
The second scene he recalled was one with Milo Ventimiglia, who played Jess Mariano. When Jess first moved in, there was a little issue with space as Luke’s apartment was meant for one person. When it became too much, Luke put a sledgehammer through the wall to extend the apartment.
The third moment he loved most on set was when Luke was infuriated with Michael Winter’s character, Taylor Doose. Luke went inside Taylor’s candy shop and stuck his hand down a jar of candy. To make matters worse, he circled the store and grabbed the candy with his bare hands and threw them around.

The original “Gilmore Girls” series was cancelled in 2007, but was revived by Netflix earlier this year. The Netflix revival consisted of four 90-minute episodes, which somewhat tie up the loose ends from almost a decade ago. More importantly, however, the revival game creator Amy Sherman-Palladino an avenue to end the series in the way she had always intended.
The revival, which is entitled “Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life,” is available for streaming on Netflix International.
