‘Glee’ creator Ryan Murphy has announced on his Twitter account that 'American Idol' alum, Adam Lambert is joining the casts of Fox hit TV musical. The announcement was made in the wake of death of Glee star Cory Monteith.

“I am thrilled to announce that the super talented Adam Lambert is joining the cast of Glee this fall,” creator of Glee, Ryan Murphy said in his tweet on July 11.

The news came shortly after Glee’s regulars were announced leaving the show. Big names whom fans loved watching week after week in the show’s combined drama, music and adventure are reportedly not returning for Season 5. These include Heather Morris (Brittany), Mark Salling (Puck), Harry Shum, Jr. (Mike), Dianna Agron (Quinn) and Amber Riley (Mercedes).

But the Entertainment Weekly noted that they will appear on the show’s upcoming season as guest stars. Meanwhile, new names have been announced to replace the regulars including Melissa Benoist, Blake Jenner, Alex Newell, Jacob Artist, and Becca Tobin.

Adam Lambert is one good addition to the cast and one good reason for everyone to watch Glee for its upcoming season.

Adam’s participation in the show has been long waited for. He has been wanted to join the club even while he was still making his journey on American Idol.

The show’s star, Lea Michelle, was reported to have expressed great enthusiasm to work with Adam years ago.

"I want to sing with Adam Lambert so badly! I think he is so incredibly talented,” Michelle was quoted as saying by Yahoo Music.

The Glee’s diva has described Adam as a “vocal freak,” and she had earlier declared the Idol alum to be one of the greatest artist the music industry has.

She said, “He's a vocal freak. It's like working out: If you want to work out well, then you want to train with the best … that's how I feel about Adam Lambert. That's my metaphor."

Ryan Murphy did not exactly elaborate what Adam’s role would be on Glee Season 5. But Adam is one good thing that could happen to Fox’s musical.

Meanwhile, Adam has paid tribute to Cory Monteith following news of his early demise.

Adam tweeted: “My deepest sympathies go out to friends and family of Cory Monteith. Such tragic news.”

Cory was found dead in his hotel room at Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver, Canada on July 13, 2013. He was supposed to check out on the day he was discovered lifeless. Police ruled out any foul play. Autopsy has been scheduled Monday, July 15, 2013.
