A Glimpse Inside Kate Middleton and Prince William’s Home in Anglesey [VIDEOS]
After Kate Middleton and Prince William's fairy-tale love story led to picture-perfect April 29 wedding, the royal couple have made their first love nest in Anglesey, Wales where William is serving the Royal Air Force. Until now, the media has been barred for security reasons from disclosing its location but an interior picture of the royal couple's previous home in Anglesey has been made available.
They stayed in a pastoral farmhouse safe and sound from the paparazzi for more than three years. Kate has been seen often food shopping at the local supermarket (Waitrose and Homebase).
In 2010, arriving on Anglesey, Prince William decided to rent a £750-a-month, farmhouse from local landlord and family friend, the Meyricks. Sir George Meyrick and his wife Jean are of principally Welsh-speaking of whose home is located in the village of Bodorgan on the South-West corner of the island.
In a picturesque position above the Irish Sea and bordered by private land, the isolated farmhouse overlooking a small beach can easily be reached by an hour-long cross-country hike. In the garden, there is a gas-fired barbecue.
The first marital abode of the royal couple, the Welsh farmhouse, comprises of four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, dining room, and kitchen. We have summed up highlights from the pictures available:
- The pastel-coloured dining room
- French doors
- Ornate light fixtures
- A picturesque view of Newborough Forest
- Scenic view of the beach below
The picture provides a quick look into the Royal couple's lifestyle. The royal couple have the great asthetic sense which is reflecting in the images of exterior as well as interiors of the House.
As Prince William's decided to leave his position in Anglesey as a Search and Rescue pilot and the royal couple moving to their first 'official' residence (a four-storey, 20-room apartment in Kensington Palace), the house has been made available to rent.
Take a look at the passionate, windswept place that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge called their first marital home in the slideshow above.
