Google Android Moto X Phone is the Next iPhone?
Four decades back, Motorola introduced the prototype for the world's first mobile phone. Even pioneering one of the most important technological innovations today, Motorola stood by the sidelines watching Apple, Samsung and similar companies take away majority of the market and sales. This time, Motorola partnered with Google for the Moto X phone - it could be the company's regaining glory.
Apple's ticket to dominance was the iPhone. The release of the smartphone took the company to a whole new level. It also spawned the series of revolutionized and more powerful mobile handsets in the market. According to analysts, that "iPhone moment", when Apple became a household name to the rest of the world, may be coming to Motorola.
The Moto X phone is the company's ticket to the market long dominated by Apple and Samsung.
With the recent release of the phone, it seems Motorola has been attracting attention. In terms of software and hardware, the market is showing positive reception. Moto X phone's software offer users to access directions, information and do other things like set alarm without touching the phone. As for the hardware, Moto X offers a slim design similar to the iPhone 5.
Only difference, it has a large screen much like other Android phones.
Google previously expressed their intention on expanding mobile web access. Throughout the years, the company has been successfully doing so especially with the Android platform. However, the number of Android models coming out every now and then has been overwhelming. People never run out of choices and each smartphone seem to offer features similar but also quite different from the other. No device yet has truly embodied what the true Android platform is about.
The Moto X phone could be just that. iPhone is to iOS as what Moto X will be to Android.
Coming from the creator of Android itself, Moto could be that phone.
One of the most highly distinguishable features of the smartphone is the liberty users get to customize the handset. The focus on allowing people to customize and personalize their phones show Google's goal is differentiating its offering from the rest of the market. However, while some reports commend Google for the phone, some are not as impressed with the software and hardware.
According to some reports, Google should have concentrated more on providing new features rather than relative applications to the ones existing already. With the stiff competition in smartphones and the nonstop releases of companies here and there, it seems the market has lost touch of innovation.
It does not seem as similar to the iPhone moment on a closer look.
