Search engine giant Google probably leaked hints on the upcoming Android OS and Google Nexus 5.

According to reports, Google will release the 4.4 version of Android operating system dubbed as Kit Kat. In the promotional video leaked by Google itself, people are crowding around the lawn of the company as a new Android statute will be unveiled.

The new statue is made out of the KitKat bars. The crowd gathering around the statue excitedly took pictures using the alleged Google Nexus 5 smartphone bearing an LG logo. This hinted that Google is most probably partnering with LG in making the next Nexus handset.

Google has removed the video from their YouTube account. But some publications like The Verge managed to get hold of the video, which you can watch below.

However, LG has no comment on the video, saying "we have nothing official to announce at this time."

Thus, consumers may have to wait for the official announcement of Google on the Nexus 5 release date.

Google Nexus 5 release date is expected to happen in October, which is close to a year since the company introduced the LG Nexus 4.

There are various evidences that Google Nexus 5 is indeed coming soon in the market. The reliable proof is the sudden price drop of LG Nexus 4. Google slashed $100 off the price of the LG Nexus 4 without the required two-year contract with a carrier. The 8GB model of LG Nexus 4 now costs $200 and the 16GB model costs $250.

Google Nexus 5 is expected to feature a 5-inch Full HD screen display; an eight-core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz paired with 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM; 13 MP rear camera; 3300 mAh battery capacity and the latest Android OS. Nexus 5 is also reported to offer 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB variants and will support 4G/LTE connectivity, which was missing in the Nexus 4.
