A leaked document hinted on some of the Google-LG Nexus 5 features on its upcoming October release date.

The next Google smartphone is speculated to be D820, which was approved by the FCC. According to leaked documents, Google's next Nexus will sport a 5-inch screen display. The device will also support wireless charging, Wi-Fi Direct and VoIP. The phone's battery is also expected to be a 2,300 mAh lithium-ion.

Last week, Google hinted the upcoming Android OS and Google Nexus 5. According to reports, Google will release the 4.4 version of Android operating system dubbed as KitKat alongside the new Nexus smartphone. The alleged 4.4 KitKat replaced the long rumoured 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

It was speculated that Google will again partner with LG. However, the search engine giant offered no comment on this rumour saying that "they have nothing to announce yet."

Google-LG Nexus 5 release date is expected to happen sometime in October, which is a year since the company introduced the LG Nexus 4 in order to maximize profits of the handset and to allow retailers to exhaust their stocks.

The LG Nexus 4 is currently sold out in Google Play Store after the company slashed the price of the handset. Google slashed $100 off the price of the LG Nexus 4 without the required 2-year contract with a carrier. The 8 GB model of LG Nexus 4 costs $200 and the 16 GB model costs $250.

According to rumours, Google Nexus 5 will feature a 5-inch Full HD screen display, an eight-core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz paired with 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 13 MP rear camera, 3300 mAh battery capacity and the latest Android OS.

Many consumers are hoping that Nexus 5 will offer 16, 32 and 64 GB variants and will support 4G/LTE connectivity, which was missing in the Nexus 4.
