An alleged photo of the upcoming Google-LG Nexus 5 was spotted online and it looks a lot like the LG G2.

The photo was leaked by @evleaks, who has a reputation to be highly accurate in the past, claiming too that the rumoured Nexus 5 smartphone is but a CDMA version of the LG G2.

According to the image he posted, the D821 should be similar to the D802 when it comes to specs (excluding wireless characteristics) and design. Therefore the D821 appears to be a CDMA version of the LG G2.

CDMA means that carriers use network-based white lists to verify their subscribers. Thus, you can only switch phones with your carrier's permission, and a carrier does not have to accept any particular phone onto its network.

In short, @evleaks is saying that the rumoured D820 tagged as Google Nexus 5 is actually a variant of LG's latest smartphone.

After a controversial video from Google emerged early this month, it was speculated that Google will work again with LG in making the Nexus 5. However, the South Korean tech company offered no comment on this rumour saying that, "they have nothing to announce yet."

The Google-LG Nexus 5 release date may happen sometime in October.

Rumours claimed that Google Nexus 5 will feature a 5-inch Full HD screen display; an eight-core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz paired with 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM; 13 MP rear camera; 3300 mAh battery capacity and the latest Android OS.

Buyers hope to see 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB variants with 4G/LTE connectivity support on the Google-LG Nexus 5 as these are lacking in the previous LG Nexus 4, which is already out of stock in the Google Play Store after the company slashed $100 off the price.

However, Google and LG offered no comments yet on the aforementioned rumours.
