Google Nexus 10 2 release date may no longer happen as there is still no sign of the said tablet until now.

Black Friday is set this Friday and there is still no sign or an invitation from Google for the release of the much awaited Google Nexus 10 2. Many people speculated that Google may be aborting the plan to release the successor of its 10-inch tablet.

It is initially speculated that Google Nexus 10 2 will be released amidst Black Friday Sale. Before that, it was reported that the tablet will slip into the market on the 22nd after Google reformatted that Play Store for a more optimized tablet experience. However, the Nexus 10 2 is still missing in action.

However, it is also a possibility that Google will just slip the tablet in the Play Store just like what it did to the Nexus 5 early this month. This makes waiting fans more anxious, especially those who want to purchase a tablet this holiday season. Grapevine asserted that Google Nexus 10 2 will be released alongside Nexus 8 tablet on Black Friday Sale and both tablets are expected to be well-received by consumers.

If Google will still not release a tablet by Friday, it is most likely that Apple's iPad line, iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina display, will dominate the tablet market this quarter and will cannibalize the sales on Friday. Apple will surely make a killing with its iPad line later this week due to lack of stiff competition. Moreover, Apple itself and retailers already announced that they will offer discounts on the said devices.

What attracted most consumers to wait for the Google Nexus 10 2 release date are the rumours surrounding the tablet. Nexus 10 2 will most likely retain its 10-inch screen display but will pack 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution. Just like its brother Nexus 5, Google's tablet will sport a quad core Snapdragon 800 chip processor and a separate Adreno 330 GPU for better and faster processing. Other alleged specs of Google Nexus 10 2 are 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB and 32 GB storage variants.

The device will run with Android 4.4 KitKat OS that will bring new software features to the tablet. Moreover, Google Nexus 10 2 is speculated to follow the pricing strategy of its predecessor with the 16 GB variant costs $399 and the 32 GB model costs $499. These attractive prices is one of the best assets of Google devices.
