Google Nexus 10 2 is Up Next, Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie Arriving with the New Nexus
Google just barely released the Nexus 7 but rumors on the second generation Nexus 10 have already started coming up. According to reports, the release of the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie can come in the form of Google Nexus 10. What can people expect?
Reports indicate that Samsung's Nexus 10 2 can come in the near future. Google's Sundar Pichair hinted about this already when they released the Google Nexus 7 and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update. The release of the second generation Nexus 7 came a year later following its predecessor.
So far, both generations have delivered great feedback and reception. This is primary reason why people are also interested about the Nexus 10. The same level of quality and user experience or maybe even more is expected of the device.
Speculations about the upcoming Nexus 10 2 started gaining traction following a report from Wall Street's Amir Efrati. He interviewed Pichai, where the latter hinted about the upcoming device. Nonetheless, as the second Nexus 7 took some time before its release, analysts say that Google and Samsung may release the product in the same manner or timeline as the other two Nexus.
The first edition of the Nexus 7 came last year during the Google I/O event. That was in June. In the fall of 2012, the Nexus 10 tablet PC was released. The first generation Nexus 7 offered Android 4.1 Jelly Bean while the 10 came with an Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update.
Many like to point out that the first Nexus 10 came in November so it must be likely that Google and Samsung are gearing up for a November release. Likewise, the Key Lime Pie is set for a release so that should come in a good timing. Google still needs to make an announcement about the product. Apart from the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie and Nexus 10, there are also reports saying that it can be a triple release.
Nexus 5 could also be just around the corner. The Nexus 5 is a smartphone intended to replace the Nexus 4. With Sony and HTC releasing phones challenging Samsung and Apple, analysts expect stiffer competition in the following quarters.
