Google Nexus 10 2 release date may be delayed as the current generation of Google's tablet just debuted in India at a slightly expensive price.

The Samsung-made Google Nexus 10 that was slipped in Google Play Store last year just reached Indian shores and is now available in the country's Google Play Store for the price of 29,999 rupees (around $480) for the 16 GB model. The 32 GB model will run 32,999 rupees (around $530).

This is not exactly a bargain as the original price of the tablet is $399 and $499 for the 16 GB and 32 GB variants, respectively.

When Google Nexus 10 was released last year, it was not available in all countries. The tablet made its debut in main markets - Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, the UK and the U.S.

It seemed that Google will release the tablet in more countries first before it debuts its successor. However, Google has not specified which countries, aside from India, the device will be made available to.

Aside from the Google Play Store, consumers can also purchase the Google Nexus 10, and at a cheaper price, in eBay where the 32 GB variant of the device is offered for $399.

The Google Nexus 10 features a a 10.1-inch screen display armed with Corning Gorilla Glass 2. The device is powered by a dual core A15 processor paired with 2 GB of RAM. The tablet is available in 16 and 32 GB storage variants.

The Google Nexus 10 was released with the 4.2 version Jelly Bean OS and will get the latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS update in the coming weeks. Google's tablet also packs a 5 MP back camera and 1.9 MP front-facing camera. Lastly, the tablet also boasts an amazing 9,000 mAh battery life.

The launch of the next generation of the Google Nexus 10 2 is still unconfirmed and Google remained tight lipped on the details of the device. However, reports claimed that Google has dispatched Samsung and will work with ASUS in making the Google Nexus 10 2.

In addition, the rumor mill churned out the Nexus 10 2's upcoming features. These include full HD display with 2,560 x 1,600 pixel resolution, quad core Snapdragon 800 chip processor, Tegra 4 CPU, 2 GB of RAM, Adreno 330 GPU and internal storage of up to 32 GB. The tablet will run, of course, with the recently released Android 4.4 KitKat OS and boasts an improved design.
