The plummeting prices of the current Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 signals the imminent Google Nexus 10 2 release date.

Retailers seemed to be preparing for this year's biggest Black Friday Sale as well as exhausting the remaining inventory of Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tablets.

The first Google Nexus 10 is just a year old but is considered as a formidable tablet. Google is still selling the 32 GB Nexus 10 for $499. However, Tech Woot offers a refurbished unit for a mere $279. Moreover, some online retailers are already offering discounts on the current Nexus 10 tablet. For example, Amazon, and eBay offers the 32 GB Google Nexus 10 for $398.

Google Nexus 7, on the other hand, is predicted to cost $200 on the Black Friday Sale. This will shave off $29 from the launch price of the 16 GB version of the tablet. On the other hand, Staples slashed $50 off on both Nexus 7 and Nexus 10. Google Nexus 10 is originally priced $399 for the 16GB wifi model and Staples' discount will bring it down to $349. The 32GB model costs $499 and will now cost $449. The promotion is only available on devices that cost $149 and more. However, interested buyers who desire the new Nexus 7 should shop elsewhere as the tablet is currently out of stock through Staples.

More deals and discounts are expected to emerge as Black Friday and Cyber Monday approach. Google still has not confirmed the launch date of the upcoming Nexus 10 2 tablet. However, rumours point to possible release date on Black Friday Sale.

Rumours asserted that the Google Nexus 10 2 will retain its 10 inches screen display with a 2560x1600 pixel resolution. However, it will pack a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 3 GB of RAM as well as Adreno 330 GPU just like the recently released Nexus 5 smartphone. Users may take photos with the device's 8 MP back camera and 2.1 MP front camera. The new tablet may have 9,500 mAh battery capacity that is claimed to last up to 18 hours with extensive usage.
