Google Nexus 10 2 Release Date Nears; Tablet to Pack Tegra 4 CPU?
Google Nexus 10 2 release date may come sooner than we think and will be a powerful gaming device.
Motoring Crunch cited a leaked benchmark test that hinted that Google Nexus 10 2 will pack a NVIDIA Tegra 4 chip processor instead of Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset. This is good news for buyers looking for a tablet that is fit for gaming as Tegra 4 is tagged as one of the processors apt for gaming.
There is a great demand for Nexus 10 2 tablet and many fans were disappointed with the supposed delayed release of the tablet. We heard numerous rumoured release date of Google Nexus 10 2 since late last year. It was reported that the tablet will arrive at Consumers Electronics Show early this week. However, the tablet made a no show at the said event. Unfortunately, Google has not released any statement yet on the rumours.
However, clues are emerging that Google Nexus 10 2 may make an appearance soon. Its brother, Nexus 7, is now being offered at a lower price by retailers although it has not been a year since its release. The decrease in retail price is a clear indication that a new device is on its way. Though Google has not revealed any detail about its 10-inch tablet.
Meanwhile, the original Google Nexus 10 by Samsung was released in Nov 2012 and reports claimed that the company will be in-charge of the production of the tablet's successor. But many are doubtful that Samsung will take the helm in making the Google Nexus 10 2 after the company released a new line of tablets. Despite being business partners, Google is still a competition. Thus, there are speculations that the Nexus 10 2 may be manufactured by either LG or ASUS.
Aside from Tegra 4 CPU, Google Nexus 10 2 is also expected to come with 10-inch screen display with the same 2,560 x 1,600 pixel resolution although some reports that the tablet will pack a 12-inch screen panel. The tablet will also boot 3 GB of RAM and Adreno 330 graphics co-processor for faster and better processing and an 8MP rear camera. It is speculated that the 16 GB variant will cost $399, while the 32 GB will be priced at $499. Cheap tag price has always been an advantage in getting a Nexus device.
