Google Nexus 10 2 release date is still unconfirmed but new rumours point to Consumers Electronics Show 2014 or days before for possible launch.

According to Tablet Magazine, the next generation of Google Nexus 10 may be introduced on or before the CES event next year. The report went on saying that the tablet will be manufactured by Samsung.

Since there is no longer hope that we will see the Nexus 10 2 this year, Google may welcome the New Year with surprises. Grapevine claims that the much awaited tablet will be available early next year after the device skipped a lot of previously speculated release dates.

Some predictions stated that Google may hold a separate launching event for its 10-inch tablet ahead the tech event. It is also a possibility that the company will just slip the tablet in the Play Store just like what it did with the Nexus 5 smartphone.

Meanwhile, the first generation of Google's tablet was also made by the South Korean company. However, the tablet did not make a huge impact in the market. Previous leaks suggested that Google will switch the manufacturer of its 10-inch tablet to ASUS - which made the popular Nexus 7. The reason behind the flop in sales is undisclosed but it is speculated that the first generation of Google Nexus 10 fall behind the expectations of consumers.

According to rumours, Google Nexus 10 2 may feature the same, old 10.4-inch screen display with 2,560 x 1,600 pixel resolution. The tablet may be stuffed with either a Tegra 4 chip processor or a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset. Of course, the tablet will run with the latest Android 4.4 Kitkat OS.

Google's tablet may also sport a separate Adreno 330 GPU and 2 GB of RAM for faster and better processing. The device may be available in 16 GB and 32 GB variants just like its predecessor.

Google revealed no fixed date yet of Nexus 10 2 release date and whether ASUS or Samsung will be in-charge of the production. For now, it seems that Google is very pleased with the performance of its other devices.
