Google Nexus 10 2 Release Date Pushed Back to 2014? What Not to Expect
With the number of Google Nexus 10 2 reports coming up, the market remains lost as to when the tech giant will release the much awaited gadget. Previously, it was reported the 10-inch slate will come out with the Google Nexus 5. Following this, there were reports saying that the company will be releasing the second generation Nexus 10 during Black Friday sale. So far, none of the reports were true and the Internet giant has not confirmed when the official release of the tablet will be.
More reports are now pointing to a 2014 release instead of 2013. While analysts think Google could have taken advantage of the holiday rush to pump up sales, it seems the tech giant will not be caving in to the temptation. Google has been recognised for releasing affordable but premium tablets. So far, the company has not failed the market on that part.
The latest information about the release date of the Google Nexus 10 2 came from the Las Vegas Guardian Express. According to the report, "With Christmas just around the corner, it is unlikely that (the tablet) will be released beforehand. It is more likely that the Google Nexus 10 2 tablet's release will be pushed to 2014, if it even happens."
People should not expect the Google Nexus 10 2 to be released around this December or anytime soon. A 2014 release appears more reasonable. The latest leak according to @evleaks and CNET hints that LG has a model in the works already. The model is named LG V510. So far, @evleaks has provided some of the best leads in tech. If this leak is to be believed, then all other reports saying that Samsung or Asus could be releasing the Nexus 10 2 will be voided. People should not expect any more than manufacturers aside from LG as of the moment.
While there are reports saying that Google may be working on an 8-inch tablet called Nexus 8, there are no strong indications that Google will release an 8-inch tablet. The second generation Nexus 10 has more leads and leaks compared to the other rumored device. It is safer to assume Google has been meaning to release the 10-inch slate than another slate.
Other reported specs of the Nexus 10 include quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2,650 x 1,600 display with Gorilla Glass, 9,500 mAh battery and 3 GB RAM. As Samsung and HTC will be releasing products around February and April, analysts think it is more reasonable for Google to release their device sometime around these dates.
