Google Nexus 10 2 Release Date Rumour: KitKat 4.4 Full-Sized Tab Listed in UK with Amazing Specs & 18Hrs of Battery
The best feature to expect from Google's Nexus 10 2 on its rumoured Black Friday release date is extended battery life, which according to one report could last a maximum of 18 hours.
This week, the Nexus 10 2013 edition was reportedly listed by UK-based home shopping site Tesco and according to The News Tribe, what really caught the eye is the device's very impressive battery longevity - 18 hours.
If true, the Nexus 10 2 power juice will just keep flowing while its predecessor will surely run out of steam half the time. In a review by Tech Radar, the first Nexus 10 kept on strutting for only 9 hours - that is on video playback.
On non-stop Web browsing and maybe with YouTube viewing on the side, the 2012 Nexus 10 will give after seven hours. The most that the slate can provide is 90 hours but keep note that is exclusive for the not too-demanding activity of listening to music, said the same Tech Radar report.
Such attribute would indeed make the Nexus 10 a likely iPad killer but the jaw-dropping servings did not step there if the report from News Tribe is to be believed. Apart from sustaining the 2013 Nexus template of having a quad-core Snapdragon 800 chip and a partner Adreno 330 GPU, the tablet is said to be getting a capacious 3GB of RAM.
With such a combo in place, this Nexus 10 promises snappy and fluid tablet rendition that is highlighted by a native Google environment. Wrapping up the fresh feature revelation is the inclusion of access to LTE network, thus fulfilling Google's goal of providing users with a powerful tool that allows for speedy and steady Internet connection.
KitKat, of course, is a given and by the time the Nexus 10 arrives, it will be the latest pure Android gadget to absorb new mobile OS named after the popular candy bar from Nestle.
The only mystery that remains is the actual release date, which the Android world hopes is happening in the next few days. It could be this week or Nov 22 to be exact and the timing would coincide with the Retina iPad Mini 2 availability on brick and mortar outlets.
Or it could be next week, which places the Nexus 10 2 right in the middle of the gigantic retail quake that is expected of the Black Friday week. Should that be the moment, the safe target date is between Nov 27 and 29 - the latter is D-Day itself.
On its release date, the 10-inch Nexus 10 is reportedly printed with the LG brand name, beating out Asus and Samsung from the race.
