The first generation of Google Nexus 10 may not receive the Android 4.4.1 KitKat OTA update, according to log published by Google-centric Web site 9to5Google.

The Web site published a server log which shows that Android 4.4.1 update will be arriving soon on Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and Nexus 7 devices. However, Nexus 10 seems to be missing from this list. This is rather unusual since Google's 10-inch tablet is one of the first devices which received the 4.4 KitKat OS update when it was rolled out last month. Now that a new version will be coming out, it is only normal that Nexus 10 will also get it.

Other reports speculated that Google might be testing the update only on Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and Nexus 7. Or the Android 4.4.1 update will eventually roll out and the Nexus 10 users might be the last ones to get it.

The Android 4.4.1 KitKat update roll-out is still unconfirmed and there is very little information about the update. According to experts, the upcoming update will bring bug fixes to some of the problems and issues experienced by devices updated to the latest Android operating system.

Many users of Nexus 7, Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 must be anxiously waiting for a bug fix update to Android 4.4 KitKat. Most users complained on fast depleting battery life as well as touchscreen and lag issues. The Google Nexus 10 tablet also did not get translucent navigation and notification bars. This feature allows the user to make the wallpaper to cover the whole screen just like in the new Google Nexus 5.

Android 4.4 KitKat OS was announced last month and brought about new and improved features such as new Android interface includes and updated Phone app, which adds integrated searchable contacts, directories in other Google apps, and even nearby businesses. Android 4.4 KitKat also brings the "immersive mode" that will hide all of your other open apps to allow you to focus on the content you are actually using. A revamped Hangouts app will also throw all of your text messages and video calls into the mix, so you are not backing out to find them in another app.
