Google Nexus 2015 – Two Nexus Smartphones Expected This Year
The Google Nexus 6 built by Motorola was released in October last year and now rumours on the successor model have already surfaced. Rumours have that in this Google will release not one but two Nexus smarpthones in this year.
According to the 9 to 5 Google report, Patrick Pichette who is employed as CFO with Google revealed that the Nexus 6 is not doing well in the market. One of the major reasons why the Nexus 6 is facing decline in sales is that it available with an hefty price tag, reports Know Your Mobile.
Moreover, the phablet with 5.96-inch is not a device that can easily handled by the users. Hence, Google may roll back to offer the Nexus 2015 in the form factor Nexus 4 or Nexus 5. As mentioned before, rumours have it that Google will be releasing two variants of Nexus 2015 as speculations indicate that it is working with LG as well as Huawei to build the Nexus devices for this year.
According to Digital Trends, Huawei is the brand that will built the Nexus 2015 smartphone. Citing an industry expert from China, it claims that he Huawei Nexus 2015 will come with 5.7-inch display screen that will support quad HD resolution. The device is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 810 chipset.
In the past, Google has worked with brands like HTC, Samsung, LG and Motorola. However, if the rumours come true, it would be first time Google would work with a Chinese smartphone market to build the Nexus 2015. It is expected to come with 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM. If Google is working with both LG and Huawei, it may so happen that Google may launch a Huawei Nexus flagship and an affordable Nexus smartphone built by LG.
Even though Google has not made any announcement on the Nexus 2015, previous release patterns indicate that It will be released around fourth quarter of this year. Rumours also claim that Google may unveil the Nexus smarpthones at the upcoming Google I/O 2015 conference that will be held at San Francisco, U.S. on May 28 and 29.
