Google Nexus 5 with Android 4.4 KitKat Photos Surface Online?
Google Nexus 5 release date may happen very soon as screenshots of a device running with Android 4.4 KitKat emerged online.
Tech Web site GadgetHelpline published several photos of the test build Android 4.4 KitKat software. The photos gave consumers an idea on what the next Android OS would look like. There is a major change on the user interface, including some tweaks on the colour scheme of the software from blue to more neutral colours.
Other than the change in the interface, the report said that the test build is similar to that of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
The report also said that the device in the photos is the upcoming Google Nexus 5 based on the visible parts in the lineup. Moreover, the device is named "hammerhead," which is the alleged codename for the Nexus 5.
Google Nexus 5 features may beat all of the other smartphones in the market. According to reports, the new smartphone will pack some of the latest specs and features including the high-end Adreno GPU chip that is at par with that of the iPhone 5S' M7 chip.
The report also noted that the phone will pack a 5-inch Full HD screen display, quad core Snapdragon 800 processor, a 13 megapixels back camera, 3GB RAM and a 2,700mAh battery.
Early this month, an FCC document that leaked online showing that the Google Nexus 5 will also include a 4.96-inch screen, LTE connectivity, NFC, CDMA/EV-DO, HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi.
It is speculated that Google will partner again with LG in making the Google Nexus 5 due to the immense popularity of LG Nexus 4.
Google Nexus 5 release date may happen this month alongside the new Android OS and Nexus 10 2. Further reports stated that Google will unveil the new Nexus smartphone on October 14.
