Google Nexus 5 release date may happen really soon as the device makes a brief appearance in Google Play Store.

Nexus 5 was poised beside the Nexus 7 2 and Nexus 10 on the Web site. The device was priced $349 for the 16GB version, which is $50 higher than the price of the previous LG Nexus 4. The link on the Nexus 5 does not go anywhere. Thus, consumers cannot buy it or make pre-orders.

The device bears resemblance to Nexus 7 2. With the look, it is speculated that the screen is around 5 inches. Moreover, it seemed that the device will run with 4.3 Jelly Bean OS based on the interface shown in the photo.

The leaked photo also confirmed that LG will be Google's partner in manufacturing the device. At the back panel, the LG logo was present. The device also looks quite similar to the handset that appeared on the leaked video of KitKat OS before.

Rumours claimed that Google Nexus 5 release date may happen on Oct 28 after nothing happened on October 15, which is the previous release date rumour of the device.

The device is rumoured to be released alongside Android 4.4 KitKat OS. The release date rumour was strengthened by the hints dropped by KitKat in the past few days.

The published price on the Google Play Store is quite close to the price leaked by Android Geeks who said that Google Nexus 5's price is $399 for the 16 GB model. The 32GB version may cost $449.

The tech Web site explained that the increase in price is due to new and improved features packed in the handset such as 5-inch screen display, faster processor and other features.

The report went on saying that LG Nexus 4 LTE will be available as an update to the Nexus 4. The Nexus 4 with LTE will follow the same pricing strategy of Nexus 4.

Some of the rumoured specs and features of the upcoming Google Nexus 5 are a 4.95-inch full-HD (1,080p) IPS LCD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera with OIS and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
