Google Nexus 5 release date will happen on October 14 with Android 4.4 KitKat and LG probably making the device.

Various reports claimed that the next Nexus smartphone will be released on the 14th of October after the device was spotted in a promotional video from Google. However, after different tech Web sites took notice of the video, it was pulled down by the company. Moreover, Google announced the Nexus 4 in October last year and released it to the market the next month. Thus, the alleged release date seems very realistic as it is a year since the launch of its predecessor.

Other evidences that the device is coming pretty soon are the leaked document from FCC that went viral over the last few weeks.

Based on the leaked FCC document, the upcoming Google Nexus 5 will pack new features including a 4.96-inch screen, a Snapdragon 800 processor, LTE connectivity, NFC, CDMA/EV-DO, HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and a 2300 mAh battery. It will also come with Google's latest Android 4.4 KitKat software.

However, according to rumours, Google Nexus 5 will feature a 5-inch Full HD screen display; an eight-core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz paired with 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM; 13 MP rear camera; 3300 mAh battery capacity and the latest Android OS.

It is speculated that Google Nexus 5 will be manufactured by South Korean electronics company LG due to the immense success of LG Nexus 4. However, LG said that they have nothing to announce at the moment.

Both Google and LG have not confirmed yet the Google Nexus 5 release date as well as its specs and features.
