The Google LG Nexus 5 is all but here, as a new video demonstrates a hands-on experience of the model.

The video seems to confirm the Android 4.4 Kitkat OS to be featured in the device. CNet features the video and reports that, while the device may sport the Android 4.4 Kitkat come retail selling, the prototype may still have remnants of Key Lime Pie, as there are still some key features and points missing from the Android 4.4 Kitkat.

It may be that Google is keeping its newest OS close to the vest. Geek also points out that, in the video, operating through the apps seem to be very seamless and easy, without much of the lags expected of the Android 4.4 Kitkat.

There's even a new icon on the homescreen, which sources claimed may be a new kind of app that would eventually be the Google Experience. What is known about this possible new app is that it can be a customisable and installable app for those who don't have a pure Android phone.

For now, what is known about the Google Nexus 5 is that it will have 2 GB or RAM, a Snapdragon 800 processor, the new Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and an 8-megapixel camera.

GCF Certification Leaked

The Google Nexus 5 seems to be moving at a pretty fast pace, with developments for its GCF certification already in the works.

According to Softpedia, this hints at an LTE speed count up to 150 Mbps for the LTE UE Category 4, which is said to be the fastest speed to date. This will be a huge improvement and a big leap for the Google Nexus 5, as the previous LTE cat 3 only provides up to 100 Mbps worth of download. Putting a more advanced technology for the Google Nexus 5 is a pretty inviting feature.

This is just one of the developments leading to a possible Oct 31 reveal for the Google Nexus 5.

Price Differs Depending on Battery?

Among the newest leaks about the Google Nexus 5 is the new way of pricing for the device. Since the model will come out with two options for battery and storage, it seems that the kind of power and capacity of the phone will affect its price.

According to Phone Arena, the 16 GB version of the LG Nexus 5 will have a 2,300 mAh battery and a price of $299, while the 32 GB LG Nexus 5 will have a 3,000 mAh battery and will be sold at $399.

Both prices are higher compared to when the Nexus 4 was first released, with the then 8 GB version priced at $299 and a 16GB at $349. Both LG Nexus 4 models had 2,100 mAh battery.
