This leaves consumers wondering whether the Google Nexus 5 will be released this year or early next year. It is reported that Google Nexus 5 release date will happen at the same time as last year. Launch is most probably in October along with the upcoming Android software.
However, the manufacturer of previous Nexus smartphone, LG, released the new smartphone dubbed as LG G2. The LG G2 outshines other smartphones with its Snapdragon 800 chipset and Adreno 330 GPU. Many reports said that LG G2 is a great choice for users who wanted cutting edge technology.

Screen Display - The new LG G2 packs a 5.2 inches screen display with 1080x1920 screen resolution. Google Nexus 5, on the other hand, is expected to come with 5-inch Full HD screen display.
Processor - LG G2 is powered by quad core processor is clocked at 2.26 GHz. Google Nexus 5 will include Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor that possesses a clock rate of 2.3GHz paired with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM.
Operating System - Both smartphones will run with Android operating system. However, LG G2 has a 4.2.2 version of Jelly Bean OS. While the Google Nexus 5 is expected to include a 4.3 version of the said OS.
Internal Storage - LG's new smartphone comes with 32GB built-in storage. Google Nexus 5 is rumoured to come in 16GB, 32GB or 64GB variants.
Camera - LG G2 has a 13 megapixels rear shooter while the Google Nexus 5 will come with 13 megapixels back camera.
Battery Life - LG G2's battery capacity is 3000 mAh. Google Nexus 5 is expected to come with 3300mAh Li-polymer battery.
