Google Nexus 5 vs. LG Nexus 4: Is The Nexus 5 Worth the Wait?
Many fans are waiting for the Google Nexus 5 release date after the popular LG Nexus 4 silently exited the market.
However, LG Nexus 4 is still available in some retailers and online resellers at a higher price. Thus, speculations arose that Google Nexus 5 is coming very soon.
The Google Nexus 5 was expected to come around the same time based on its last year's release date. Launch will most probably be in October along with the upcoming Android software.
Due to the immense success of LG Nexus 4, Google was expected to release the next generation of the device a year after. LG Nexus 4 was sold out in minutes after its release, and 400,000 units were sold initially. An executive of LG Electronics confirmed that the company is not working on the successor of the popular LG Nexus 4 dubbed as Nexus 5. Google has not disclosed which company will be working on the next Nexus smartphone.

Operating System - LG Nexus 4 still has the most recent Android OS with its 4.2 version of Jelly Bean. The smartphone will soon receive the OTA version of 4.3 Jelly Bean OS upgrade. However, Google Nexus 5 may gain an advantage, as it may be released with the latest Android mobile software.
