Google Nexus 5 vs. Samsung Galaxy Note 3: Which is the Better Smartphone?
Google finally released the Nexus 5 on November 1.
Google Nexus 5 has been rumoured for months. Finally, the successor of the LG Nexus 4 officially made its debut in the Google Play Store packed with amazing specs and features. Some of the specs and features that consumers should expect are quad core chip processor and a separate GPU chip. The new Nexus smartphone will run with the latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS.
The new Google Nexus 5 costs $349 of the 16 GB variant and $399 for the 32 GB variant. Consumers can choose between black or white version of the Google Nexus 5. The device is now available in the US, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, U.K., Australia, Korea and Japan via Google Play Store. The device will be available offline in Europe, Central/South Americas, Asia, CIS and the Middle East in mid-November.
It will battle head on with Samsung's phablet Galaxy Note 3, which was released last September. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 boasts of two quad core processors and better camera specs. The device costs $899 for the unlocked and international version but the device costs $299 when bought through a carrier with two year lock-in period.

Screen Display - Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a 5.7 inches Super AMOLED screen display that dwarfs the 4.95 inches Full HD display of the Google Nexus 5.
Processor - Both devices pack the quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip processor. But the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 packs another quad core processor for supplement paired with 3GB of RAM. Meanwhile, Google Nexus 5 packs 2GB of RAM.
GPU - Both devices also packs the Adreno 330 graphics chip that promises better graphics as well as faster processing.
Internal Storage - Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is available in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB storage variants with expandable storage of up to 64 GB. Consumers can choose between the 16 GB and 32 GB variants of Google Nexus 5.
Operating System - Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is pre-installed with 4.3 version of Jelly Bean OS. Google Nexus 5, on the other hand, comes with the latest 4.4 Android KitKat OS.
Camera - Google Nexus 5 comes with 8MP rear camera and 2.1MP front camera. The Galaxy Note 3 is equipped with 13MP and 2MP back and front camera, respectively.
Battery Life - Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a battery capacity of 3200 mAh while the Google Nexus 5 has a battery life of 2300 mAh.
