Google Nexus 5 Will Win Over iPhone 5C, Says Buyers
Google Nexus 5 and iPhone 5C are two low cost smartphones that are bound for release later this year but buyers opt for Nexus 5 than Apple's cheaper iPhone.
Cheaper price is one of the things that attract customers in buying something. A device with a friendly price tag proved to be popular among consumers as more people can afford it, especially when the device features high end specs and features.
Google's Nexus smartphones, especially the current LG Nexus 4, have the perfect blend of great specs and features as well as cheaper price tag.
Tech giant Apple is known for making high end smartphones but the company may engage in a battle with other cheaper handsets in the market. It is reported to enter the same market soon and to offer a cheaper iPhone for first time smartphone users.
However, many consumers claimed that they are waiting for Google Nexus 5. IBTimes AU commenters said that Google Nexus 5 is the flagship device of the search engine giant whereas iPhone 5C is simply a marketing strategy for Apple to attract more buyers.
They added that iPhone 5C cannot be compared to the specs and features of the Nexus 5.
The rumoured Google Nexus 5 may equip a 5-inch Full HD screen display; an eight-core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz paired with 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM; 13 MP rear camera; 3300 mAh battery capacity and the latest Android OS.
The upcoming handset may offer 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB variants and will support 4G/LTE connectivity, which was missing in the Nexus 4.
Meanwhile, Apple is rumoured to come up with the cheaper iPhone 5C. According to reports, C stands for either "cheaper" or "colours" since the device is expected to be cheap and come in different colours.
The cheaper iPhone is speculated to come with a 4-inch screen display, a dual core processor and an 8 MP back camera all housed in a cheap plastic casing. Consumers may also expect iPhone 5's specs and features in the iPhone 5C.
The release dates of both devices are expected to happen later this year. However both companies has not given a concrete date yet.
