The smartphone market has been buzzing with more "6" flagships coming to light. Apart from Apple's iPhone 6, Google's Nexus 6 has been making headlines with possible release later this year. According to recent reports, the device will be codenamed "Shamu" seeking to provide a better and more genuine Android experience with possible Android L debut. What can people expect from Shamu? Can Google deliver a killer Nexus device?

Google's Nexus 5 was considered as one of the best to be released during its time. This is also the main reason why the Nexus 6 has been garnering as much attention. So far, reported specs for the device include a 64-bit Snapdragon 801 processor and 5.9-inch display. There are several features analysts believe that can propel Nexus 6 at the frontlines if Google manages to include or tweak them.

For instance, BGR cites Marques Brownlee's suggestions on what Google should do to make it stand out against upcoming competition. One, Google should concentrate on improving its picture processing system. The Nexus 5 camera did not receive as much praise with more customers complaining about it. According to Brownlee, if Google can take advantage of the camera lens from Sony and improve image processing then it can be a formidable device.

More importantly, if Google pushes through with a better battery feature and life then it can appeal more to consumers. According to BGR, this is possible with the Android L battery saving feature allowing the device to manage power better. Specifically, a 2800 mAh battery combined with Android L should be put the Nexus 6 high up among Android phones.

PC Advisor notes that if Google will stick to its timeline then the device should be available this fall or a little later. The Nexus 8 has also been reportedly on its way though Google's confirmation with Tech Radar about new Nexus 7 stocks can put the release on hold. Google has not release additional announcements about the device.
