The Google Nexus 6 was announced in Nov 2014 and since it has been available for purchase through leading carriers of the U.S. such as Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T. After many speculative rumors on Verizon’s edition of Motorola Nexus 6, the flagship has been finally made from March 12.

The exact date of release leaked a few days but it appears that Verizon decided to break the silence and has made an official confirmation. The Nexus 6 is now available with Verizon and is powered with Android 5.1 Lollipop, the latest software update for Android 5.0 Lollipop that was announced quite recently. The phablet in Verizon stores by March 19.

According to The Verge, the Google Nexus 6 was unavailable on Verizon, the phablet sold by Google Play Store, Motorola and other U.S. carriers except AT&T allowed users to switch to Verizon’s network.

According to the official details revealed by Verizon, has indicated that this device will be available for $249 in a two-year contract. Through Verizon Edge plan, the installment plan from the Big Red, users will be able to own the device by making a payment of $27.08 for a period of 24 months. In order to purchase it unlocked, users will have to shell out $699.

Currently, Verizon is only selling the blue coloured edition of the device. As of this writing, the white coloured edition is unavailable through Verizon Wireless. Also, even though the handset is available in two internal storage options of 32 GB and 64 GB, Verizon is only selling the 32 GB Nexus 6. Verizon Wireless is giving away six months of free access to Google Play Music along with the device if it is purchased by March 31. Without the offer, the a six months subscription of Google Play Music costs $9.99 per month.

Looking at the specs of Nexus 6, the phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset and a 2.7 GHz quad-core CPU as well as Adreno 420 GPU. Nexus 6 also boasts of a sporty 6-inch AMOLED screen that supports a Quad HD resolution of 1440 x 2560.

The chipset of the device is supported by 3 GB of RAM. It features a 13 MP rear camera and a front-facing camera of 5 MP camera. Lastly, the device is powered by a humongous 3,220 mAh battery.
