Google Nexus 6 Rumours: Google to Release its Own Phablet?
Google Nexus 5 release date has not happened yet but rumours of the Nexus 6 are already spreading around the Web.
Rumour has it that the Google Nexus 6 is the company's own version of phablet, which is nothing new. However, the rumour resurfaced after Taylor Wimberly that Motorola is working on the Google Nexus 5 release date.
Insider Taylor Wimberly said that Motorla is currently working on the Google Nexus 5 release date. In his Google+ account, he confirmed that Motorola is working on a Nexus smartphone. The post does not include many details but it is enough to make waiting consumers excited.
"Motorola will release a Nexus smartphone in Q4 (that is not the Moto X)," he posted on his account. Wimberly gained a good reputation after his predictions for the upcoming Moto X proved to be accurate.
However, Google has not confirmed yet which company it will partner with in making the Google Nexus 5.
Rumours about Nexus 6 rumors began months ago with Samsung behind the device. The specs include a 6.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus Full HD screen; Exynos 5 Octa CPU paired with 3GB of RAM; up to 128GB of storage; 13 megapixel camera and 2 megapixel front camera; and 4500 mAh battery.
It is very unlikely that Samsung will partner again with Google since its devices are selling quite well. Motorola is the most probable candidate in making this rumoured phablet from Google. Moreover, there are very few competition in this category compared to the plain smartphone market.
Rumours claimed that the Google Nexus 5 will include a 5-inch Full HD screen display; an eight-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz paired with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM; 13MP rear camera; 3300mAh battery capacity and the latest Android OS.
The handset is rumoured to be available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants and will support 4G/LTE connectivity, which was missing in the Nexus 4.
