The Nexus 6P measures 159.3 x 77.8 x 7.3 mm and weighs 178 grammes whereas the Mate 8 dimensions are 157.1 x 80.6 x 7.9 mm and it weighs 185 grammes. The Huawei Nexus 6P is available in colours like aluminum, graphite and frost whereas the Huawei Mate 8 comes in colors like champagne gold, moonlight sliver, space gray and mocha brown.
The Google Nexus 6P features a 5.7-inch Quad HD AMOLED screen with 518 ppi pixel density. The Huawei Mate 8 is fitted with a IPS-NEO LCD screen that supports full HD resolution and 368 ppi pixel density.
Chipset, storage and RAM
The Snapdragon 810 chipset powers the Google Nexus 6P along with 3GB of RAM. It is available in storage options like 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. There is no microSD slot on the device.
The Huawei Mate 8 is fueled by the homegrown HiSilicon Kirin 950 chipset. The 32GB model features 3GB of RAM and the 64GB model features 4GB of RAM. A microSD of up to 128GB capacity can be used on the second SIM slot of the device.
Camera and software
There is a 12.3 MP camera present on the rear panel of the Google Nexus 6P. It features laser autofocus and dual-LED flash. The Huawei Mate 8 has a OIS and dual-LED enabled 16-megapixel camera.
Both the smartphones feature a selfie shooter of 8 MP that carries support for full HD video recording. Also, both the devices come preinstalled with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Nexus 6P offers pure Android experience but the Mate 8’s Android 8 OS is modified with Emotion 4.0 UI.

The 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage options of Google Nexus 6P are available for US$499 (AU$767), US$549 (AU$844) and US$649 (AU$998), respectively. According to GSM Arena, the 32GB and 64GB are available for €599 (AU$921) and €699 (AU$1075).
