Release date of Google's Nexus 7 2 inches closer to realisation, likely set for August, as two upcoming devices from Asus, the K008 and the K009, gained the necessary certification from European and Asian authorities.

The K008 and K009, of course, are widely regarded as the model numbers being used by Asus for the two Nexus 7 2 variants set for global distribution - one with Wi-Fi only radio signal and the other with LTE chip.

Assembling the 7-inch Nexus slate in behalf of Google for the second time, Asus reportedly got the twin green-lights from Europe's Global Certification Forum (GCF) and POSTEL, which is Indonesia's official network certification agency, Gotta Be Mobile said in a report.

GCF, in particular, affirms the qualifications of new smartphones and tablet set for deployment in the Euro market "to give operators confidence in the interworking of new mobile devices," according to its official site.

The advancement means that Asus and Google are wrapping up the necessary requirements for the official debut of the Nexus 7 replacement, given the K008 and K009 turn out as the much-anticipated Nexus 7 2.

Earlier reports strongly implied that the small tablet will hit the North American region, specifically the United States. Now the new information signalled that Google is bent to implement a worldwide release, covering all major markets and possibly all continents.

However, analysts are convinced that it will be a rolling distribution, with U.S. consumers identified as the first Nexus 7 2 recipients. Other destinations should follow shortly with Australia and the UK likely on the priority list by Google Play Store.

The drumbeats surrounding the vanilla Android tablet suggests that it packs a quad-core Snapdragon 600 CPU that steams roll to a top speed of 2.3GHz with 2GB of RAM plus a camera combination of 5MP on main and 1.2MP on secondary.

It is Jelly Bean 4.3 right out of the box but hardcore Android users expect the slate to chew in Key Lime Pie as soon as it becomes available, which should be around first week of October, debuting with the supposedly LG-assembled Nexus 5.
