Google Nexus 7 2016 release date, news & update: Google Pixel & Pixel XL may be available from October
The Google Nexus 7 2016 launch event, which is also being called the Google Pixel launch event, could be taking place on Oct. 4. For quite some time, reports are suggesting that Google will be dropping its current “Nexus” branding and replacing it with “Pixel.” The search-giant will be launching the Google Nexus 2016 in two variants, Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL.
The Google Pixel will have a 5-inch display whereas the Google Pixel XL will sport a 5.5-inch display, write The Asian Age. Both the devices are expected to run on the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and could be the first to extensively adopt the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset. The Google Nexus 7 2016 will be announced on Oct. 4 and will be available for purchase thereafter.
The Google Pixel (Sailfish) and Pixel XL (Marlin) specs and features have leaked on the Internet many times and both the devices have already been certified by the FCC, reports University Herald. The Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones may sport a 4GB RAM though rumours suggest the internal storage for Pixel would be 32GB and for the Pixel XL, 128GB. This is not yet confirmed.
The Google Nexus Pixel and Pixel XL may sport 2560 x 1440 pixels and 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution and could be decked with a 13MP rear camera with some amazing features and high-advanced functions. There are still no reports as regards the price of Google Nexus 7 2016.
A 5,100 mAh battery, Quick Charge 3.0 support, Android 7.0 Nougat OS and USB Type-C portare some features that the devices are expected to boast about.
Google has been silent about its upcoming Google Nexus 7 2016 smartphones. Some rumours also suggest that the company will start taking pre-orders in the US the same day the Pixel and Pixel XL are revealed. This means the devices will be available for pre-orders from Oct. 4, right after the release.
