Customers who were facing problems with the 2013 Google Nexus 7 multi-touch screen can be relieved. The company is said to be rolling out an update to fix the problem customers were facing with the tablet.

According to a report by engadget, a Mountain View staffer Paulw confirmed that there would be an update. "Build JSS15Q" is said to be rolling out. The roll out is expected to solve the problem of inconsistent performance of the multi-touch feature in the device.

The Google Nexus 7 is a 7 inch tablet from Google. It comes with a 1280 x 800 resolution, 8 or 16 GM memory and 1 GB RAM. It has 1.2 MP primary camera and video calling facility. The most pertinent feature of the device is the multi-touch feature which allows multi-touch of up to 10 fingers.

The tablet comes in three versions - two of the versions are priced at $229 and $269. The third version which will be priced at $349 will be coming soon to the market. There have been rumours that a new $99 version will be unveiled by Google soon.

The sales of tablet devices have been soaring over the years and with the rising sales more manufacturers are entering the market offering their tablets. The tablet market was once dominated by Apple with its iPad. The iPads are still highly popular with more versions set to be launched in the coming months. But the company is slowly losing out in the market share to other competitors.

According to some analysts the rising sales of tablets comes at the expense of other computing devices like desktop computers. This should not have an impact on a company like Google. The company does not manufacture desktop computers.

The Google Nexus 7 is seen as a less expensive alternative to Apple's iPad and the biggest selling factor has been the multi-touch screen and its high resolution. With the new update solving the minor problems, Google can expect the sales to only grow. Meanwhile customers eagerly await any news about the rumoured $99 tablet from the company.
