Google Nexus 9 Battery Life Test Shows 6700 mAh Battery Offers Nearly Two Days Usage Time
Google Nexus 9 is packed with a Li-Po non-removable battery of 6,700 mAh. Recently, PhoneArena had conducted a battery life test on the Nexus 9 tablet to check the battery prowess of the device.
PhoneArena performed the Google Nexus 9 battery life test by running a customized web script that simulates the use of a typical user. After running the custom web-script, it was found that the HTC Nexus 9 lasted for 9 hours and 24 minutes.
The same test was also conducted on other recent tablets. The Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 lasted for 8 hours and 58 minutes. The Apple iPad Air 2 scored 7 hours and 27 minutes. The Apple iPad Mini 3 was able to last for 6 hours and 53 minutes. On the basis of battery life test, PhoneArena states that on normal usage the device can last nearly for two days citing that the test conducted by using the custom script replicated the usage of an average user.
The second test conducted by PhoneArena on Google Nexus 9 is charging time. It took 254 minutes to fully charge the Google Nexus 9. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 can reach zero to full capacity in 188 minutes. The Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 recorded a charging time of 353 hours.
The Google Nexus 9 is an HTC product and it is first tablet to feature the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. The Google Nexus 9 preorders started on October 17 and the tablet has gone on sale from November 3. The Nexus 9 is available in two colours, black and white and it is available as two internal storage variants 16 GB and 32 GB.
Currently, only the Wi-Fi edition with 16 GB and 32 GB storage options are available for purchase. According to The Inquirer, the 16 GB edition is priced at 399 USD whereas the 32 GB edition can be purchased on 479 USD. There is another variant of Google Nexus 9, the 32 GB LTE is priced at 599 USD. The 32 GB LTE edition is not available for purchase at the moment. It will go on sale from November 12.
