Google Inc. recently released a new search app for Apple's iPad which would provide a new and instant experience when doing "search" in iPad. This new app is supported on iOS 4 or later.

The updated Google app is described as "more interactive" because it would include additional instant search results or results that would appear as users are still typing their queries. It would also include a "preview pane" wherein it gives users a peek through a slide-out window to the right of the search results. Users could browse through these "preview" in order to see if it is the right Web page.

The newly renovated Google app would also make the search experience more visual as tapping an image will produce a carousel that would enable users to swipe through different images. Users could also tap it in order to make it larger. The new app would also make viewing and managing search history easier because users would be able to swipe through "snapshots" of the different pages that the users already visited and then arrange them categorically. It would also have a magnifying glass tool in order to help find the things that users are looking in the website and also a +1 button that lets users recommend pages through Google+. Additional Google services are also included in this new design through clicking on the specific icon.

Before Google revamped their app, the company had already experienced some problems in terms of their original Gmail app for iOS. The said app encountered bugs and the company decided to pull it out even after it was just released. The Gmail app is already available in the App store after the inconsistencies were resolved.

Daniel Fish, an app software engineer for Google search describe this new improved app stating that "Whether you're doing research and comparing results, or exploring beautiful imagery, we have added new features to make the app more interactive, more visual and to help you find what you want more easily." The company also focused on its goal to "explore beautiful imagery" in order to attract more users.
