Before the end of October 2013, which is rumoured as the LG Nexus 5 release date, Google will reportedly issue four new products along with its 2013 flagship smartphone, new reports said.

While it is the LG-assembled mobile phone that generates the most attention, Android watchers believe that the full Google software and hardware lineup to come out this year deserves more than a second look.

With them on Google's late 2013 menu, the tech giant's burgeoning ecosystem is gaining further traction as it prepares to slug it out with rival Apple, which is bannered by iOS 7, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2.

Here are the snapshots of what to expect from the internet search giant in the next few months:

A new device called Nexus Switch

At the start of the week, Android Police founder Artem Russakovskii took to Google+ and shared that "Google may be planning several other devices in the Nexus family ... specifically the Nexus Leep and Shining," which he added are rumoured codenames for the Nexus Switch.

Aside from hinting that the Nexus Switch is an Android-powered light controller, Mr Russakovskii offered no further details.

Another wearable device from Google - a smartwatch

One possible new item that Google will rollout anytime soon and probably will intro on Oct 14 is a watch named Nexus/Google Gem, which according to Gotta Be Mobile is a smartwatch that is set to join the earlier unveiled Google Glass.

Obviously, the device is the company's answer to Samsung's Galaxy Gear and Apple's rumoured iWatch. It is expected that the Gem will mainly feature pairing with compatible smartphones, aside from time keeping and other stand alone functions.

The 2013 Nexus 10 edition

Numerous evidences surfaced pointing to the release of a new Nexus 10 build, this time Asus doing the honours and bumping out Samsung. The full-sized stock Android tablet is clearly an enemy of Apple's 9.7-inch iPad.

As the iPad 5 is allegedly the recipient of a major makeover, trimming down considerable bulk and gaining more CPU muscles, the second Nexus 10 is only anticipated to mirror what the iOS tablet is serving. Expect then a sleeker profile with beastly capabilities under the hood of this big Nexus family member, likely to be headlined by a quad-core processing chip and a GPU to fire up its Retina-like display rendering.

KitKat 4.4

Android 4.4 or KitKat is no longer a surprise as Google already indicated that its next Android version will be named after a popular candy bar from Nestle. But for this month, we will at least get the confirmation on what exactly the new mobile OS are made of, specifically its actual killer features.

There are loads of speculations on KitKat will unwrap for Android lovers but the most exciting, arguably, is the prospect of almost all Android devices - old, new and upcoming - easily chewing it down once it becomes available. KitKat, so it seems, is the fulfilment of Google's vow to take on the issue of Android fragmentation, head-on.

All these thrilling Google offerings should be previewed this October with the LG Nexus 5, which is rumoured to show off a 5-inch Full HD screen with 1080p resolution, a Snapdragon 800 CPU, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP main cam shooter and a 2300mAh battery on release date.
