If you're a harassed frequent flyer then Google's new "quick flight lookup" is just the app for you. Last Saturday Google launched their new search application that allows users to simply type "Flight [City] to [another City]" in the Google window and the search engine will display a summary of flight information right on the search page. No more looking up flights in different airline websites, a simple search will give users all the flight information they need.

If you're going to major cities then this handy little app will be a lifesaver. Type in "flight Sydney to Melbourne and you'll get a result with a drop down list that shows all available flights from Sydney to Melbourne. You can also type in "flights Sydney" and Google will show you all available flights from Sydney from all airports. If you want to find out what flights are available in your local airport type "flights from [local airport]".

Mashable reports that the Google feature doesn't work as well with nonstop flights. If you're stuck in a tiny airport in a small town you'll have to go through the usual channels at finding flights because the feature will just lead you to some travel sites. Those living in the city are the primary beneficiaries of this feature because they will always get a result when they type "flight" and the name of the city.

Lazy users don't have to use full city names, typing in "flights Syd Mel" will get you the same results. The feature supports 10 languages which include: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Catalan, Turkish and Russian.

The program is still in Beta and there are a lot left to be improved but this new feature will be godsend to those who are always jet setting across the globe. It also helps Google retain users on their search pages and their search revenues.
