In case it still matters, Google's Nexus 4 is in better supply mode these days and accessories for the popular LG-made Android smartphone seem to be appearing in droves but not without glitches, courtesy of Google Play.

In the United States, the hotly-sought handset has cut back the delivery time to mere three days, the shortest waiting time so far for the hard-to-find device, according to CNET.

It used to be that buyers will have to endure weeks or even months of wondering when the Nexus 4 will arrive. Now it appears Google has remedied the situation, though belatedly as some experts would say.

The normal situation, however, is not that encompassing as Phones Review reported that Indian buyers are still frustrated by the scarce supply that Google and LG have allocated for their country. Their woes were further complicated by inflated prices for Nexus 4 offered by some retailers who managed to get hold of the elusive phone.

The news serves as a surprise indeed considering that many tech firms regard India as a major destination for their products. The country belongs to a bloc termed by economists as emerging markets. It may mean many things but to serious product sellers it points to one thing - the country buys big time but it needs to get in time what they pay for.

What Google has to say about the 'minor debacle'? A curt "we have nothing to announce at this time," according to Phones Review.

Leaving that for now, third party suppliers are ramping up their efforts to support Nexus 4's existence with the emergence of accessories like the white bumper case that a Canadian retailer now sells for roughly $20.

According to Android Central, the Nexus 4 case protector is very much similar to the black version that Google Play was offering. Note the 'was' because as expected, the product has stocked out already

There's no telling when Google Play will eventually pick up the accessory. Probably by the time most Nexus 4 owners have already obtained the product via alternative channels, Phandroid said. That would mean they have to deal with bloated tag price and they have Google to thank for that.

If it's any consolation, Google Play is now selling the long-delayed Nexus 7 dock for $US30. But then again, buyers were made to wait long moments for the accessory and some were forced to buy it and pay as much as $60.

Now that Nexus 4 is in normal supply, will it remain an attraction? Or buyers will simply train their attention on the alternatives - Sony Xperia Z, HTC One and the soon-to-launch Samsung Galaxy S4.
