'Gotham' Season 1 Episode 14 Spoilers: 'The Fearsome Dr Crane'
Now that Detective Jim Gordon is well and truly back in the Gotham City Police Department, it’s business as usual for him and his partner Harvey Bullock. In Season 1, Episode 6 titled “The Fearsome Dr Crane,” the pair will be investigating a new series of killings. The new villain targets victims with severe phobias. [Warning: Spoilers Alert!]
In the latest promo clip shared by Spoiler TV, Detective Jim Gordon and Gotham City are facing a new threat. As the episode title suggests, the latest nemesis is called Dr Crane. In the video, Jim speaks to Dr. Leslie Thompson about the victims and she tells him that the killer is taking out the victims’ adrenal glands at the moment of death. According to the episode synopsis shared by Gothamsite, the killer is targeting people who suffer from severe phobias. With the help of Dr Thompson who also happens to be his new love interest, Jim sets out to find this new villain.
Also in the promo clip, Mafia boss Don Maroni is starting to feel like his professional relationship with Oswald Cobblepot or Penguin is not entirely to his liking. He started to doubt Penguin in the previous episode when Penguin woke up after suffering an electrical shock. In his confused state, Penguin mentioned that he has business to conduct with Don Carmine Falcone. Falcone is the top Mafioso in the city and one of Maroni’s rivals. Although Penguin was able to talk his way out of what he said, he has planted the seed of doubt in Maroni’s mind. In the video, Maroni confronts Penguin and demands for him to be upfront about their relationship. Penguin responds by pointing a gun at Maroni’s head.
According to the synopsis, the exiled Fish Mooney plays a hand in pushing Maroni to dig deeper into Penguin’s affairs. Earlier in the season, Mooney was betrayed by Penguin and his actions have led to the loss of her men and her own Mafia empire.
Meanwhile, the young Bruce Wayne is growing impatient and he confronts Jim about the lack of progress in his parents’ murder case. Jim had promised him that the case would be solved, but no real progress has been made so far. In the previous episode, the lone witness to killings, Selina Kyle, told Bruce that she didn’t really see anything. With this new development, Bruce confronts Jim and asks for an explanation. According to the promo clip, “The Fearsome Dr Crane” is the first instalment of a two-part special which begins next Monday, Feb. 2.
