‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 12: Jessica Capshaw Gives Calzona Fans Hope With New Contract (Spoilers)
“Grey’s Anatomy” Season 12 is likely to show more Arizona Robbins storyline. The actress playing the part, Jessica Capshaw, has just signed a deal that survives up to May 2018.

Arizona becomes a prenatal surgeon in the 11th season of ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy.” Geena Davis’ Dr. Nicole Herman helped Arizona become the prized surgeon that she is now at the prenatal department of Grey Sloan Memorial. As the show shifted its focus on Arizona’s professional life, little was presented on the current stand of her marriage to Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez).
Calzona (Callie and Arizona) decided to live separate lives. But when the occasion called for it, they were with each other as friends. Fans are hoping that they would see more Calzona relationship repairs until the two find their way back to each other’s arms.
Capshaw’s latest contract is seen as a sign that Calzona might not be a lost cause after all. “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 12 has an active contract that lasts only May 2016, but Capshaw signed on until May 2018, TVLine reported.
Callie has started dating again in "Grey's Anatomy" Season 11. At one point, Arizona pointed out to her that she was dating someone she had dated in the past, too. It appears the two are set to heal and be in separate worlds. Still, fans remain hopeful that they would get back together.
"Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 is going in a new direction in view of the absence of Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey). Whatever happens next, the characters -- particularly Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) -- are expected to have links to and reflections on the most recent death of one of their own.
