GTA 5 DLC Rumours: Casino Heists? Exciting New Story Mode Ideas [VIDEO]
After the Beach Bum Pack release, many GTA 5 DLC rumors started swirling around as Rockstar teased of exciting new story mode updates coming soon.
What kind of mayhem can players expect from Rockstar for the GTA 5 DLC first installment? Two rumors have dominated player discussions: Casino heists and Yanktown. Both would be great for GTA 5 DLC, but is it too good to be true?
A North Yanktown GTA 5 DLC seemed to be a credible rumor a few weeks ago as an uncovered data suggested that Rockstar was developing a North Yanktown DLC and it made sense to players who would definitely want to go back to the GTA 5 intro's snow covered fields and do all kinds of hell. All kinds of clues were supposedly found in the game code to back up the claim.
It was proven though that the rumor was just a hoax.
Now that you know the GTA 5 North Yanktown is a hoax, there is still one GTA 5 DLC rumor that is still very much possible and is even backed up by an in-game location that any player could access. The GTA 5 Casino Heist concept comes from a casino building located in Vinewood Park. It has banners that say, "Opening Soon."
Does that mean what most players hope it means? A casino heist definitely sounds awesome to a player because the lack of casinos in GTA 5 is quite appalling given the loads of fun they were in GTA: San Andreas. This time the players could just spend their hard-stolen money at the poker table instead of gambling millions on stock scams.
What's the point of a casino if not for a casino heist? Rockstar said story updates are on their way anyway. It would be great to get Trevor, Michael and Franklin working like a team, Ocean's 11 style. Robbing and buying a casino would also be great. The GTA 5 stock market exploit can get the player buy a $250 million casino and anyone who didn't exploit the stocks but has millions of money can just turn that fortune bigger, two worthwhile goals to reach in story mode.
GTA Online is going to have heists too but Rockstar remains mum about it. There's an existing bank vault in GTA online and this is where the GTA online heists will likely take place. The only question is when. Take a look at the video below:
