The Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 5 iFruit app is now available for Windows phones! It used to be available only for iOS and Android phones, but Rockstar Game obviously didn't want to leave out Windows users. Well, the more the merrier, right?

GTA 5 is one of the most popular video games today with billions of fans all over the world. With the inclusion of Windows phones in their customer base, they have extended their reach to a previously untapped market. This move can be mutually beneficial to both parties and could make them both profit well from this team-up.

The iFruit app for Windows phones has the same features as the iOS and Android versions, including the option to customise in-game cars using the Los Santos Customs app. This app allows GTA players (both GTA 5 and GTA Online) to create and reserve custom license plates and choose from different smoke colours, window tints, paint jobs, hoods, spoilers and wheels. GTA players can also upgrade their car's engine, suspension, exhaust and brakes. Plus, GTA players can also accessorise their automobiles by using new tires, horns, lights and body armour.

Aside from the Los Santos Customs app, the iFruit app also includes the Chop the Dog app. This app is similar to the popular Tamagotchi game which lets players take care of a virtual pet.

According to Rockstar Games, Chop is the canine sidekick of the GTA character Franklin. Chop is a Rottweiler who needs to be active as much as he can. As a virtual pet, Chop needs to be looked after just like a regular pet. This means that Chop should be fed well and played with. It also helps if the dog is taught new tricks from time to time. If treated well, Chop will be happy and be beneficial for the player who chooses to play the game as Franklin.

This particular app appeals to women and the younger demographic including animal lovers because of its cuteness factor. Check out the video below to see how Chop the Dog app is played.

It's nice to know that the GTA 5 iFruit app is now available for Windows phones. But, Rockstar Games doesn't plan on stopping there. They plan on offering it to PlayStation Mobile and Vita as well. GTA players will be delighted to now that both the game and the app are connected to the Rockstar Social Club that's why once they have customised their in-game cars using the GTA 5 iFruit app, as soon as they turn on the actual GTA 5 game, they will see the customised car there.
