GTA 5 New Title Update, GTA Online Impressions, and a Niko Bellic Mod
After a lot of log-in tries and ongoing hit-and-miss entries for most of the GTA 5 gamers, Rockstar Games has finally launched a GTA 5 title update to fix the larger issues that GTA Online may bring.
In their Newswire the developers announced some of the fixed issues, which include those stuck in the launching session in Mall or Nothing race for online tutorials, incorrect deletion of bank and cash, incorrect amounts of cash dropped for those who are killed off in Missions and Last Team Standing, and the issue of overwritten main cast by temp characters.
Other fixes that come with the title update include:
- Issue when entering GTA Online via Character Switch Wheel that cause a black screen
- Issue wherein players lose apartments and the money spent for them
- Issue of missing Story Mode missions
- Removal of autosaves to prevent potential corrupted saves in Story Mode
For those who have succeeded and are already playing GTA Online, Rockstar has also announced the GTA Online features at the Social Club. Here you can go through player stats, rate and bookmark Jobs, update Crew pages, and access the GTA Online Guide for tutorials in the game.
Rockstar Games has also opened its doors for player feedbacks and issue reports, in case there are any that players deem worthy of looking into. You can reach the developers at their RockstarSupport Twitter page or email the concerns to GTAOnline@rockstargames.com.
GTA Online: A general look
There are general ups and downs for the multiplayer experience, though one can say that it does not measure up to the expectations and delivery of GTA 5.
For instance, server issues alone are enough to frustrate many players. Understandably, this is not an issue that is easily controlled, as past online multiplayer games have seen.
Rockstar Games has even released a new patch, the GTA Online patch 1.03 in the hopes of improving bugs for those who are able to play the game online. Ars Technica attests to the server mishaps, where log-ins consistently failed or are marked as timeouts.
But perhaps the winning aspect of GTA Online is in the world of the game, not necessarily the simpler missions or the character creation. As Gamerant reports, you are not always stuck to doing missions, but can go off exploring the world, buying weapons and clothes, customising stuff, and just seeing what Los Santos has to offer.
Niko Bellic mod made
The main protagonist of GTA IV, Niko Bellic was a no-show in GTA V, and some fans have been calling for a possible DLC appearance to get the mad Russian would get back in the game.
However, Gamepur has found one user via Se7enSins who was able to mod Niko Bellic into GTA 5, complete with screenshots.
According to the user, "After a few hours of research I found out how the file loading works in the game engine. Happy to say this is a 'disk2/common-only mod (should work on both JTAG-consoles and Burned ISO). No other files were changed."
While those with the Collector's Edition can indeed play as Niko Bellic, this would be a great mod option for those who only got the Standard Edition. User Raymnd is still in the process of fixing up some bugs with the character, but overall, even the cut scenes are working with the modded Niko Bellic.
