GTA 5 PC Release Date, Download And Requirements: Brazilian Retailer Says March Release Confirmed
A quite unlikely source added fuel to the GTA 5 PC version rumor claiming the release date will be in March 2014. According to the new source, the GTA 5 PC version will be out in March 12.
Código Fonte showed an interview with Nuveem, a Brazilian retailer, and according to Thiago Diniz, its digital distribution of games director, the Grand Theft Auto 5 PC release date has been confirmed.
"I don't see any problem talking about it. It's already been confirmed and the GTA 5 PC is scheduled for Mar. 12, if I'm not mistaken," Diniz said according to translation.
The translation is quite choppy but his message is clear. Nuveem believes the GTA 5 PC is arriving on March 12. Diniz's confidence can be convincing but Fansided thinks that the supposed release date is odd because it is on a Wednesday.
"Game releases are mostly on Tuesdays and Fridays," the Web site commented. An Amazon customer support rep recently claimed the GTA 5 PC will have a March release as well. "International Amazon staff informed a couple of customers that the PC version of GTA 5 will be out in March 2014," he said.
Another Amazon customer support staff was also proven to be somewhat inaccurate with her claims. Via Amazon chat, a customer support rep named Fatima said based on their information, GTA 5 PC will be introduced on Dec. 24 and that according to their source, the game will be released on March 12 in the U.S. and on March 14 in Germany saying it in German.
There was no announcement from Rockstar Games on Christmas Eve. However, the rumored March release date still remains consistent and a possibility. Some fans speculated the GTA 5 PC version will be held off until the game is supported for Microsoft's Xbox One and Sony's PlayStation 4. Rockstar Games hasn't been showing any notable progress on creating the title for these new-gen consoles.
"Unfortunately, we will not release any information about that yet," Rockstar Support commented in December 2013 through Twitter, responding to a player inquiring when the release of the GTA 5 PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will be.
