With several people now preoccupied with trying out "GTA 5," the reviews have mostly been astoundingly positive. From the immense scale of the new map to the details of the environment as seen in previously leaked videos, it seems that this is Rockstar Games' best yet

On the Rockstar Games Newswire, there are a handful of snippets as to what the first impressions for "GTA 5" have already been.

The character swapping feature is much appreciated, as it lets you glimpse the world from three different perspectives and personalities, and this gives the game a lot more depth. Driving-wise, you know where "GTA" is rooted on and it doesn't deviate from it, perhaps pushing only further to improve the driving dynamics so that you are in full control, according to Giantbomb.

As an open-world game, "GTA 5" never fails to astound, and it is further propelled by a storyline that gives you well-rounded characters to make the experience fun, both for those looking solely for action as well as those who want to understand further the psyche of the people they are playing as.

Free 'GTA 5' Apps: Manual and iFruit

As many people are already enjoying (or about to enjoy) "GTA 5," Rockstar Games has already released two free apps that would boost your overall "GTA 5" gaming experience.

According to the Rockstar Games Newswire, the first app is the Grand Theft Auto: iFruit, which hooks directly to your "GTA 5" game.

The Los Santos Customs app lets you create your ultimate vehicle for the "GTA 5" from anywhere you are--and this goes for both the "GTA 5" and "GTA Online." This app lets you personalise license plates and reserve them before someone gets their hands on it first.

Once you have done the customisations you can just order it on the go so that the next time you open "GTA 5" on your PS3 or Xbox 360, your specially made car will be waiting.

Another app is the Chop the Dog app. Chop is a companion for your Franklin character, and Rockstar Games is devoting a Chop the Dog app so you can care for him properly outside of the game. You can do various things, like playing fetch or tug-of-war, feeding him and teaching him tricks.

This app pretty much lets you make Chop the Dog into your own virtual pet, and you can expect a more realistic approach to it--too little or too much play time can make your dog the best pet ever or the most rabid one there is.

There is a third app that is currently in the works. This app is more informative than the previous two apps, as this one is The Manual. Consider this a movement from printed booklets to the digital apps, where you can have a hundred pages worth of official manual, which you can read on different devices. You also get a digital version of the map in the app, so you can check out which ones interest you.

For now, the apps are available on the iTunes App Store for Mac players. However, players using the Windows Phone, PlayStation Mobile and Vita will have to wait a little longer.
