‘GTA V’ PS4, PC, Xbox One Release Gets Huge "Intense" Experience Update
Fans of the "Grand Theft Auto V" will be pleased to know that Rockstar Games has added a huge optional update to the game. On Nov. 18, when "GTA V" launches on the PS4 and Xbox One, players will now have an option not to play in a third-person perspective.
Rockstar Games recently unveiled the first-person mode of "GTA V" for the PC and next-gen consoles. On its newswire, Rockstar announced that the "new mode gives players the chance to explore the world of Los Santos and Blaine County directly through the eyes of their character, revealing all the world's glorious details in an entirely new way."
Techcrunch adds the first person mode is customisable. "GTA V" gamers can reportedly now access the mode when their characters are walking around on foot or even when driving. However, it's useless when their characters are hiding for cover during a gunfight.
The first person mode will supposedly also give gamers a better view of the updated graphics of the PC, PS4 and Xbox One version of "GTA V." Techcrunch claims these improved graphics include denser pedestrian population and traffic, a farther draw distance, and more complex weather effects. Writer Kyle Russell adds the new perspective also gives players a different experience of the game's story. Events reportedly no longer happen from a zoomed out view but rather around the characters.
IGN was able to test the first person mode of "GTA V" for the much-anticipated Xbox One and PS4 version. According to Daniel Krupa, the experience of being chased by cops seems realistic enough that he could feel their presence. Rob Nelson, the Animation Director on "GTA V," reportedly described the experiences when in first person as "literally very intense, in-your-face experience." "Obviously, we felt like one of the most compelling things you could do to make an experience people have had before feel different was the new first person mode," he said.
Nelson told IGN the idea of having a first person mode for "GTA V" has been on developers' mind for a while now. The emergence of the Xbox One and PS4 consoles reportedly made it possible.
