“Halo 5: Guardians” will be hitting Xbox One consoles pretty soon and in accordance to today’s gaming standards, the game will have a massive Day One update. Developer 343 Industries recently revealed the size of the Day One update through a Twitter post.

The executive producer of 343 Industries revealed on Twitter that the Day One update for “Halo 5: Guardians” will amount to 9 GB of space. The update will be geared towards changing and tweaking the multiplayer mode of “Halo 5: Guardians.” Like other games, the day one update is geared towards fixing several issues found during the beta test period of a game.

The update will supposedly introduce some unknown multiplayer map content. Since multiplayer is a main part of the “Halo” series, the update could be necessary to ensure a fully authentic and smooth multiplayer experience. It could tweak several weapons and gameplay mechanics for the much-awaited multiplayer mode.

Those who bought the digital copy of the game will be prompted to download the 9 GB update as well, and lucky for them, they can pre-load the copy as well as the Day One update before the game’s Oct. 27 launch date rather than waiting to get their hands on the game. Those who opted for the physical copy of the game will have no choice other than to download the update once they get their hands on it.

If players opted to buy the digital version of the game, they would need at least 60 GB of hard drive space in their Xbox One. This was according to a recently leaked “Halo 5: Guardians” box cover. However, the game itself will only take up 46 GB of space, Game Informer reports. That, in addition to the 9 GB update, will require players to save at least 55 GB for the game.
